Refund policy
1. GENERAL
“Order” means the Customer’s order for the Products, whatever its format (order form, fax, email, call to the customer service, through the Ordering System or any other electronic format) and whether written or oral or as the case may be;
“Supplier” or “we” means Mine Spec Australia, Booragoon WA - ABN: 60150752364
2. WARRANTY POLICY
All prescription optical products are guaranteed against any fault in workmanship and to provide protection as specified in the standard for a period of 12 months from the date of manufacture. This product is designed to provide protection for a period of up to 24 months dependent on care and condition. It is recommended that the wearer is re-tested at 18-24months to ensure that the prescription is still appropriate.
Our Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or New Zealand Consumer Law. Individual Customers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

ONLINE PURCHASES ARE @ THE CUSTOMERS OWN RISK - All standard lab manufacturing warranties still apply however, Mine Spec would be unable to offer 'warranty' in regards to the frame fit, PD measurement or Script accuracy. If in doubt we highly recommend to attend a frame fitting for your PD measurement to be taken by our in-office dispenser, also allowing you to try on all frame model samples to ensure the best fitting/most comfortable frame is selected. Majority of our plastic frames come from a mould and unable to be adjusted after being made and being a certified, personalised product - once made, they are a complete set and lens/frame cannot be re-used or changed afterthefact. Frame Fitting appointments - BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL and can be viewed/secured via the 'BOOK AN APPOINTMENT' (red) button on our website Home Page screen.
We DO offer Multifocal lenses as part of our safety prescription glasses combo's (Frame and Lenses) - however, do not offer them via our online shop due to the extra optical measurements required for the lens design to be set correctly for the wearer, applicable to how the frame model sits on the wearers face (as that can also change the measurement) - in which a frame fitting is needed to place an order for Multifocal's and BOOKINGS can be secured via the Home Page 'BOOK AN APPOINTMENT' (red) button.
Please allow up to 3 x weeks for completed pairs to arrive in store at our Booragoon office - usual ETA is 2 x weeks, but we always allow 3 x incase of Quality Control delays within labs and to allow for any possible transport delays too.
3. PROGRESSIVE LENS NON- ADAPTION POLICY
If the wearer cannot adapt to their dispensed spectacles within 90 days from the date of manufacture indicated by lens engraving and the optician who dispensed the spectacles authorises a replacement upon assessment, the frame and lenses will be covered by the warranty. The lenses may be replaced by either progressive, bifocal or single vision lenses.
4. WARRANTY DATE
Warranty applies from the date of manufacture as engraved on the lenses and/or date of invoice, for replacement of frame or parts, warranty will still remain from this date.
5. EXCLUSIONS
Mine Spec Australia do not cover such items as misuse; scratched lenses; Frame and lens coating deterioration due to cleaning products used, extensive sun/chemical and sunscreen exposure; accidental damage; general wear and tear; and lost or stolen glasses.
6. ORDER CANCELLATION, AMENDMENT OR CUSTOMER’S PRESCRIPTION CHANGE
Cancellation or amendments to orders, 60 mins from order placement time. Orders will be charged in full if the job is cancelled or amended more than 60 minutes after the order is placed.
Mine Spec will honour any script changes for patients who have supplied a physical copy of their eye test results (on optom letterhead) at their original fitting, alongside submitting the changed/amended prescription (on optom letterhead) within 90 days from date of invoice. On the rare occasion a script change has occurred and the above guidelines have not been met ($0 charge if within 90 days and both scripts have been supplied)... If not within 90 days, Mine Spec will still offer to cover 50% of the cost of the new set as goodwill (updated with the amended script supplied by the patient/employee). *up to 6mths from date of purchase (50% goodwill script change offer past 90 days).

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Any alteration including the removal of fixed side shields, adhesive such as super glue applied at all or modifications to this item outside of the normal facial fitting adjustments will change the level of protection intended by the manufacturer and will void any warranty or product guarantee.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Clean optical products using running cool to tepid water and a neutral liquid detergent, then dry with a soft cleaning cloth. Avoid using solvents like alcohol, acetone, ammonia, glue, solvent, or oil, fragrance, hairspray, household cleaning products or aggressive chemical detergents that could be detrimental to the function of the glasses. Store eyewear in temperatures between -10C and +35C and avoid exposure to the sun in closed environments without air conditioning (eg car dashboard). Temperatures reached in such conditions can damage spectacle function.
Periodically tighten screws to avoid loosening of arms.
